Massive Infiltration Bid in J&K: Exclusive Details and Images of PoK Launchpads and Terrorists Revealed
Publish on - 1/08/2024
According to intelligence reports, around 250 fully-trained terrorists on each side of Jammu and Kashmir are prepared to infiltrate. Approximately 10-15 terrorists are currently hiding in Kashmir, ready to launch a significant strike soon. Sources indicate that two sectors, Jammu and north Kashmir, are experiencing a surge in foreign terrorist infiltration, with about 500 terrorists poised for entry at various launchpads.
Exclusive details obtained by CNN-News18 reveal that on the Kashmir side, launchpads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) are situated in Leepa, Jura, Chhejua, Athmuqam, Dudhnial, Tejian, Rattapani, Kel, Dhakki, Sonar, and Domel. On the Jammu side, the launchpads are located in Satwal Top, Bala Wali, Forward Kahuta, Bata Hallan, Nikial Kaman (Kotli), Tattapani, Khuiretta, Kot-Kotera, and Kotli.
A recent joint operation by the Army and police uncovered a terror hideout in the Kalakote area of Rajouri district. Exclusive images accessed by CNN-News18 show the hideout and weapons used by the terrorists, along with five highly trained and heavily armed terrorists awaiting infiltration from the Tattapani sector of PoK. These terrorists were reportedly transported from Hajira to the launchpad last week in a Pakistan army vehicle.
The People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a shadow organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), operated in Jammu until last year, carrying out multiple attacks on security forces and civilians. In April 2024, large-scale infiltration by Jaish-e-Mohammed operatives occurred in Jammu, with terrorists entering Doda, Riasi, and Udhampur.
Intelligence sources report that 30-35 Jaish operatives in 5-6 groups are currently positioned on the eastern side of Jammu, in areas such as Doda, Riasi, and Udhampur. Additionally, 10-15 Lashkar operatives in 3-4 groups are active in Poonch and Rajouri.
These groups, situated in the higher mountain reaches, descend to launch attacks before retreating. Increased security presence by the Army, CRPF, and police has currently kept terror incidents low, but numbers may rise with any relaxation in vigilance.
